Jim Cain - Candidate for MO House of Representatives
Family Life: 
Jim was transferred to St. Louis in 1974 during a corporate reorganization. Before 1974, he had worked for the 
U.S. Navy, married his wife Lynda, received a Bachelor of Science Degree and was an Electrical Engineer in 
AT&T’s Western Electric - Defense Activities Division. Jim and Lynda have two married sons (Eagle Scouts) 
and three grandchildren. He has visited forty-nine of our fifty states and lived in California, Oregon, Oklahoma, 
North Carolina, North Dakota and Missouri. Jim and Lynda are members of Parkway Baptist Church where he 
serves as an usher. 
Jim was elected to the Eta Kappa Nu and Sigma Tau, Engineering Honor Fraternities. In January 1970, he started 
his MSEE postgraduate work and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in May. Jim has completed additional 
postgraduate work at the University of North Dakota, Clemson University and George Washington University.

  •  AT&T Senior Engineer, Test Systems Development & Support - 1984 to 1995 
  •  AT&T’s Consumer Products, Manager SG-B Digital Cellular - 1995 to 1996 
  •  Lucent Technologies (AT&T Spin-Off) Operations Manager - 1996 to 1997 
  •  Lucent Technologies, SG-B Customer Operations West - from 1997 to 2001 
  •  Life Member - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 
  •  Senior Member - American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) 
  •  National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) - between 1970 and 2012 
  •  Committee Chairman & Scoutmaster BSA Scout Troop 641 - 1987 to 1994 
  •  Telephone Pioneer’s of America (AT&T Service), presented on June 4, 1995 
  •  President, Maryland Heights Township Republicans from 2002 to 2010 
  •  Vice President, Maryland Heights Township Republicans - 2011 & 2012
